Artist's Comments

So this is actually an old picture, about two years old actually. It was part of of final set of drawings for my Art 10 class. I'm quite fond of it, despite the fact I was still learning about blending colours, so I thought I'd post it. This version is slightly smaller than the original because my scanner isn't quite as big as the paper, but I didn't feel like hooking up the longer scanner.

Old or no... I like it, it has a nice peaceful feeling about it, maybe a little mysterious, too, for the great colour scale and the picture title. This picture actually contains and consists practically only of my favourite colours, which makes it all the more better ^^ I like the tree branch on the foreground, and those blue mountains are such a majestic backdrop...

Well, Emerald Lake is a real place in Canada. It's in the Yukon Territories.

Oh, wow, I didn't know that... It sounds and seems very pretty...

EXCELLENT! I absolutely love this... I would frame this, it's that good.
